Important: TaxSavingLab provides draft tax estimates for informational purposes only. It is not a substitute for advice from a qualified Chartered Accountant (CA). Always verify your tax liability with a CA before filing your ITR.

1. Acceptance of terms

By accessing or using TaxSavingLab at taxsavinglab.com, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

2. Nature of the service

TaxSavingLab is a free, informational tax estimation tool for Indian traders. All figures produced are draft estimates, not final tax computations. TaxSavingLab is not a Chartered Accountant, tax advisor, or financial advisor. The service does not constitute professional tax advice under the Income Tax Act 1961 or any other applicable law. Tax rules change frequently — calculations reflect rules as understood at the time of the last update.

3. Accuracy and limitations

We strive for accuracy but cannot guarantee all calculations are correct, complete, or current. Known limitations include:

Broker P&L file formats vary and may be parsed incorrectly for some file versions
Edge cases in tax law (surcharge, AMT, special provisions) may not be fully modelled
AIS / TIS data extracted from PDFs is approximate and may miss certain entries
Brought-forward losses are based on user input and are not verified against ITR records

Use TaxSavingLab as a starting point for discussion with your CA, not as a final answer.

4. No liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, TaxSavingLab and its operators shall not be liable for:

Any tax notices, penalties, interest, or demands raised by the Income Tax Department
Any financial loss arising from reliance on estimates produced by the service
Errors due to incorrect input data or unsupported tax scenarios
Loss of data due to browser storage clearing or device changes
Service interruptions, API downtime, or calculation failures

5. Your responsibilities

Verify all estimates with a qualified CA before filing your ITR
Provide accurate data — incorrect inputs will produce incorrect outputs
Do not rely solely on TaxSavingLab for any tax filing, compliance decision, or financial planning
Keep your browser storage secure — your income profile is stored locally on your device

6. Intellectual property

The TaxSavingLab name, logo, and the software powering the service are the property of TaxSavingLab. You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without written permission. You may share results and screenshots for personal, educational, or non-commercial purposes.

7. Third-party services

TaxSavingLab uses Google Analytics for usage analytics and Render for API hosting. Your use is also subject to Google's Privacy Policy and Render's Privacy Policy.

8. Changes to the service and terms

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue TaxSavingLab at any time without notice. We may update these Terms at any time. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

9. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Faridabad, Haryana, India.
